Songs of a Sorceress

Product Description
By Bobbi Sinha-Morey
In this mega mix of poetry, Bobbi Siinha-Morey serves up the very best of her speculative verse, a delightful blend of fantasy, horror, and science fiction with wicca and darkness inspired by the depths of religion. One will find that she likes to walk on the dark side, but her need for light is all too great and that is why her work is so diverse.

When the Sun Rains
Goose head for her cane
and white carnations
as a trail,
the white witch
with strapped on crown
takes her walk round
the heathers and bayou.
In her cup of drowned leaves
she summons another sun
to drink from so she can
spill rays on everyone.
Parasols clash and spin
like in auto-da-fes
and townspeople
streaked in yellow
become her slaves.
It’s the ones who flee
that melt into lemonade
when she sings.
Sun Goddess
Whipped by the sun
in a million tiny streaks,
goddess masquerades
in feathers of gold
offering her haloed
light to mortals while
redeemed seraphim
touch her skin.
White nights
light the heart
of her solar system.
Winter’s Newborn
Roses among snow
serve as pillows
for baby angels
who sleep
without halos.
